The Regina Bypass Project was the largest infrastructure project in the province of Saskatchewan’s history and will improve a key component of the National Highway system.

M-BIM Vircon’s Scope of Work:

• Modeling and shop detailing of approximately 456 tons of structural steel for both Bridge 17 and 18 of the Regina Bypass project which included plate girders, cross frames and horizontal bracing.

Regina Bypass Project Highlights & Challenges:

• Includes 12 overpasses (33 total bridges), 40 kilometres of new four-lane highway, and 20 kilometres of resurfaced four-lane highway, 55 kilometres of new service roads and twinning of about 5 kilometres of Highway 6
• Built to service between 11,500 to 25,000 vehicles per day
