Industrial Design

Industrial Design

In industrial design, the model becomes the single source of truth for your project. Our intelligent, data rich 3D models expedite project schedules by enabling up-to-date information to be communicated to all stakeholders, helping to minimizing errors and conflicts, resolving technical issues, and assisting in efficient procurement of materials.

We can import engineering drawings into the construction model, eliminating some of the engineering documentation, and ensuring both engineering and fabrication drawings align perfectly.

Minimising the overdevelopment of your model ensures your detailer never need re-interpret engineers’ intent, streamlining fabrication and erection for an efficient, on-time, on-budget build.

Piping

M-BIM Vircon offers a wide variety of piping design and detailing services, ranging from small stand-alone packages through to major onshore and offshore energy and resource sector projects. Our design deliverables encompass site and plot plans, general arrangement drawings, vessel nozzle and orientation drawings, and underground piping and utility plans. With customizable and fully traceable piping isometrics, we deliver models complete with material, commodity code and weld traceability, as well as cut lengths, end preparation and spool numbering details. Piping stress analysis is performed in accordance with local and international standards. We use the latest software and integrated processes to provide cost effective, functional designs, on time and on budget.

Mechanical

M-BIM Vircon provides mechanical design and detailing services for a range of tanks, vessels and complex machinery and mechanical platework. Our technologically advanced and data-rich models provide the information needed to precisely plan your project, maximizing value and time efficiencies without compromising quality.

Our modelling capability extends to a variety of mechanical platework for projects within the energy and materials handling sectors, including ROM bins, chutes, hoppers, silos, conveyor systems, shiploaders, stackers and reclaimers and a variety of tanks and vessels, such as:

  • AS1210 Fired and unfired pressure Vessels
  • API STD 650 Tanks
  • API STD 620 Tanks and Vessels
  • ASME Section VIII Vessels
  • AWWA D100 Water Storage Tanks
  • NFPA 22 Fire Water Storage Tanks

Structural

M-BIM Vircon’s integrated structural design and detailing team use a combination of Tekla and Advance Steel, amongst other solutions, to deliver a wide range of industrial projects. We work closely and collaboratively with our clients to offer a full range of structural design and data services suited to the industrial sector, such as:

  • Conveyors & Transfer Stations
  • Support Structures
  • Non Process Infrastructure
  • Pipe Racks and Pipe Supports
  • Heavy Workshop and Warehousing
  • Wharf Structures & Jetties
  • Oil & Gas Skids and Modules

Within a single project, we can collaborate on thousands of models, develop and manage tens of thousands of vendor equipment items, and manage countless metadata fields across extremely large datasets, all without sacrificing the level of quality and control.

Modular Process Units

M-BIM Vircon offers multiple solutions for skid-mounted and modular packages such as smaller metering skids, wellhead separators, nitrogen and dehydration packages to large, complex and integrated LNG units. By integrating our multi-discipline engineering, design and detailing expertise, we can provide complex process solutions to our client’s needs.

This includes the implementation of the latest digital engineering technologies to provide comprehensive solutions and real-time visibility on project deliverables through all phases of the project. Modular process units allow clients the opportunity to reduce projects schedule significantly, recoup their invested capital in an accelerated time frame and reduce the amount of manpower required on-site, resulting in improved health and safety conditions and direct supervision.
