The San Francisco Airport Redevelopment project is a very significant project for M-BIM Vircon with an annual passenger traffic over 50 million people this project is seen on a global scale.
The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the largest airport in Northern California owned by the City and County of San Francisco. SFO houses four terminals (1,2,3 and International) and seven concourses (Boarding Areas A-G, arranged clockwise). Terminal 1 also known as the “South Terminal” is the oldest amongst the four terminals. The north, south and central areas of the terminal will be rebuilt to modernize concourses, add new loading bridges, concessions and boarding areas with new gates totaling to 24 gates by 2024.
M-BIM Vircon’s scope of work included the shop detailing of 10,250 tons of structural steel work.
